Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Clinical Sciences Building

Works on this project comprise the full refurbishment of an occupied block to create new modern office space for clinical teams, whilst demolishing three other blocks which were old Victorian Buildings. The occupied block work involved extensive stakeholder engagement specifically with the medical students that were working in that area along with the hospital estates and clinical teams

The demolition works were in blocks situated adjacent to the A&E department so this required both sensitivity to our surroundings, whilst working very closely with the client team to ensure any disruptive works were kept to an absolute minimum. There were many challenges with our deliveries due to the number of ambulances needing priority access, and we couldn’t plan for this, so again, our regular and consistent communication with the stakeholders
was critical to a smooth operation, without causing any delay to our works.
