This full refurbishment of an occupied block brought modern office space to clinical teams.

Medical students, hospital estates and clinical teams were working in the block requiring refurbishment, so extensive stakeholder engagement was crucial in ensuring any disruptive works were kept to an absolute minimum.

Works also involved the demolition of three old Victorian Buildings situated adjacent to the A&E department, which again required sensitivity to our surroundings, allowing hospital operations to continue as normal and protecting the health and safety of all stakeholders.

Crossfield worked closely with the client team to coordinate deliveries around priority access for ambulances. The unexpected nature of emergency calls meant consistent communication with all parties was critical in achieving a smooth operation, with no delay to construction or to hospital activity.
