Crossfield Construction is delighted to have been appointed on the inaugural Procure North West Framework.

Launched in February, the public-sector framework has been designed to provide clients with a compliant but flexible solution to their procurement needs.

The framework will run until 2022 and will cover the following regions: Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. It is open to NHS bodies, emergency services, colleges, universities, schools, local authorities, housing associations, and registered charities. Leisure providers, the Ministry of Defence, and other government departments will also be able to procure projects through it.

Crossfield were awarded a place on the £1-£5m lot alongside seven other contractors, successfully bidding against 27 other companies.

Speaking of his delight, David Cain, Director of Crossfield Construction said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded a place on the Procure North West Framework. It can be difficult as a local SME to secure places on public sector frameworks against the tier one contractors, but thanks to the way the framework has been structured, it gave company’s like ourselves a real chance. We look forward to working with the team as projects start being procured and delivered.”

Robbie Blackhurst, Managing Director of the Framework commented: “Procure North West are delighted to have Crossfield Construction on board as a framework partner. The framework was deliberately structured to ensure that we did not end up with eight Tier 1 contractors in Lot 1 and wanted local competent contracts, in Crossfield Construction we feel we have achieved this.

“The Crossfield offering was quite unique, although they are not a Tier 1 contractor, through their team they offer substantial Tier 1 experience. We are looking forward to working with Crossfield over the next four years”.
